Lotus Ancienne

Lotus Ancienne
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Origin: Viet Nam
A Brief History
Lotus-scented tea has been cherished in Vietnam for centuries, valued not only as a delicacy but also as a symbol of purity and spiritual connection. The lotus flower holds deep meaning in Vietnamese culture and Buddhist tradition, representing enlightenment, resilience, and beauty emerging from still waters.
The creation of Lotus Ancienne is a rare and painstaking art. In summer, when the lotus blooms, skilled artisans rise early to gather flowers while they are still closed with the morning dew. The blossoms are gently opened, filled with tender green tea leaves, then wrapped back into place. As the day warms, the petals release their natural fragrance, which slowly infuses into the tea. This method—wrapping tea inside the living blossom—was once practiced for emperors and nobility, making Lotus Ancienne one of Vietnam’s most revered teas.
Each cup reveals the ethereal perfume of lotus and the smooth sweetness of fine green tea, offering not only a refined taste but a connection to centuries of Vietnamese tradition.
