This exquisite purple tea was harvested in the Jing Mai mountainous area in Lancang county of Simao. While fresh, the purple leaves where processed into a flat needle style tea. This process results in tea leaves that are black with tiny golden shoots on some.
When brewed this tea has a citrus, fruity sweet taste and is described as being very vibrant in the mouth. The aroma is a soft a pleasing floral with grapefruit.
